About the Cell

The Cell for Disadvantaged Groups (CDG) at A.P.S. Degree College has been constituted to assist students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Minorities, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD).

The Cell ensures that these students are provided with equal academic opportunities, guidance, and support services. It also functions as a grievance redressal body to address academic and social challenges faced by disadvantaged sections.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • To ensure equal academic opportunities for SC/ST/OBC/Minorities/PwD students.
  • Assist in availing scholarships, fellowships, remedial coaching, and support services.
  • Provide guidance and counseling to disadvantaged students to overcome challenges.
  • Address grievances related to discrimination or denial of facilities.
  • Promote awareness through workshops, seminars, and special lectures.
